About Me

Hi, I’m Alannah — mom to two busy toddlers and the heart behind this little corner of the internet!

If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I truly believe childhood should be filled with curiosity, imagination, and a little bit of mess.

Like many parents, I’m always looking for simple ways to keep my toddlers engaged without relying on screens. That’s what inspired me to start creating and sharing easy arts, crafts, and sensory activities that fit into real life — activities that don’t require complicated supplies or hours of prep. As a healthcare professional, I’ve always had a special interest in the developmental well-being of children. I love knowing that simple, playful moments — like painting, scooping, mixing, and exploring textures — are not only fun, but also support important skills like fine motor development, creativity, problem solving, and independence.

I also got into designing my own activity books for my eldest son who was showing an interest in learning colors, shapes and numbers. I make one for every season and holiday; he loves them!

Our days are often filled with paint-covered fingers, sensory bins and tiny scoops and lots of laughs (of course, with some tantrums and lots of snacks mixed in).

I love finding ways to turn everyday items into fun learning experiences that help little ones explore, create, and grow. My goal is to help make playtime feel easy, meaningful, and fun for both kids and parents.
